I am Mose Xavier Hardin Jr.—a writer, poet, podcaster, screenwriter, and storyteller.

At the heart of everything I create is one simple purpose: to tell stories that are honest.

My writing is rooted in life—love, loss, faith, race, sexuality, family, resilience, healing, and the experiences that have shaped the man I am today. I write from the perspective of a Black gay man who has lived, loved, questioned, survived, grown, and learned that our most personal stories often have the power to connect us to something much bigger than ourselves.

Poetry has given me a language for the things I could not always say aloud. Through my books, including Namaste Mose, and my continuing body of poetry, I explore identity, vulnerability, Blackness, love, spirituality, pain, humor, and self-discovery.

My podcast, A Conversation with Mose, gives those conversations a voice. It is a space where I speak openly about culture, relationships, healing, the Black and LGBTQ+ experience, and the complicated realities of simply being human. I believe meaningful conversation does not require everyone to agree. It requires us to be willing to listen, think, question, and tell the truth.

That same philosophy inspired my screenplay, One Lifetime, a spiritual drama centered on love, grief, purpose, and what remains with us after the people we love are gone.

I do not create because I believe I have all the answers. I create because I have questions.

I create for people who have ever felt unseen, misunderstood, different, brokenhearted, hopeful, afraid, faithful, or determined to keep moving forward.

At this stage of my life, I understand something I spent years learning:

My story does not need permission to exist. Neither does my voice.

I am who I say I am.

And as long as I have something meaningful to say, I will continue finding a way to say it.
